OF hat wirklich super Kundenkarten.
Man profitiert in jedem Aspekt
I want to thank each and every one of you for participating in this booktalk. Officially, the booktalk has ended but always feel free to pop in and give your thought on the book - or maybe even the continuation!
Hi everyone!
I finally got around to read the final part and gosh, I did NOT remember this at ALL. It felt like reading it for the first time all over again which made me begin to wonder if they must’ve changed it? Regardless I still enjoy the series in a whole but I have to admit, I don’t think I enjoyed it as much as I did when I was younger. I’m sure that plays a big role as since then I’ve read my fair share of books. I like to rate my books in a objective way even with rereads. What would you guys rate it all together if you’d rate it more objectively?
Hey everyone - I have not forgotten about you!! I see you all have started with the second part albeit with mixed emotions. I really see all of your points and now that I am re-reading this I completely understand where it’s coming from! My love for this trilogy doesn’t waver though as I aknowledge that this is not Samantha Shannon’s best work but certainly the one that made the impact for her success! (I keep saying trilogy even though it has more books but I only read the first three - oops!)
You can tell this is a fantasy-af book and it was beyond confusing to me in the beginning. I mean - what fantasy book needs a glossary? Miss Shannon……
@Swifty03 It’s important for you to stop whenever you find yourself not enjoying the book! Of course I’m sad you didn’t like it as much as I did but there are too many books out in the wild waiting to be read so why waste your time and forcing yourself to read something you know you don’t like?? I still hope we will bump into each other at another Read-Along!! <3

Hi Guys
I will reply to you all throughout the day but until then I hope you all will have lots of fun with part two! This is our second reading-week and we are reading up to page 394 and our discussion starts on friday.
As always, the discussion opens up on Friday but you are not supposed to be done by then!

I have given this some thought while reading and figured it’s a great question for everyone?
Is it important for you, as reader, to like the main character? Or do you even enjoy disliking them?
Coincidentally, I read a couple of books this year where I actually disliked the main character(s) A LOT but I loved the different approach - some MC’s are not meant to be liked. It also moves aways from the same narrative you encounter with lots of books..
Jacqueline call in sick
I have mentioned previously that there is no pressure to follow the schedule strictly. The date you are “supposed” to read the pages is merely the day we start discussing that part. It is more important that everyone enjoys the book!
I am completely with you on the spicy part, it’s not really my thing either but I have to admit I am not sure anymore if the book has any spicy part in it? I do remember a romantic subplot but not quite sure how “far” they went
Fantasy books tend to have really complicated words and the tendency to over complicate simple sentences but Samantha Shannon does a pretty good job not to overdo it! It is also a fantastic opportunity to widen your english vocabulary so make sure to take notes!
Generally speaking if anyone has troubles with definitions of words, feel free to add it to our discussion so we can all help each other! It’s an amazing learning opportunity for everyone
Raikaslover So exciting that you are getting out of your comfortzone and trying out a new(ishj genre! I hope it lives up to you expectations
Hey there! Don’t worry at all, these times just “open” the discussion days and if we mutually realise and agree we can always adjust the schedule. Either way, this is not a strict time that you’d have to adhere to. It’s important that everyone reads in their own pace in order to keep the reading expierence enjoyable! But this helps us with organising the post a little. If you find yourself behind on time, there is no pressure into catching up. You pop into the conversation whenever you can
I hope you will find a way to enjoy the book later on. Sometimes I love the storylines and messages of books but not necessarily the fantasy-part of it! It happens in any context so it’s still interesting to try out new things

Samantha Shannon is THE fantasy writer everyone sleeps on! She is amazing, I remember when I was screaming & waiting for the next books to come out in this series!!
I already read the book when it came out but I would love to join the booktalk nonetheless because I’d finally be able to talk to others about it!!
I’ve been waiting for 11 years, guys.
I won’t enter the give away since I own a copy already haha
@stephiesheena girl I think this is something for you!
