Hi all,
Just wanted to check in and see if there was any English speakers on here?
Not a native speaker, but i read all my Fantasy & Sci Fi in english.
Except for german authors cause that would be a bit strange
Hi! Not a native speaker either, but for the past 10-15 years I consumed most media (books, movies, TV series etc.) in English. I’m currently reading two books in German and after all this time it feels.. pretty weird tbh

I’m logically not a native speaker either but I learned it long enough now (and even study English as my minor in university currently), so I am fluent even if I never got rid of the bad mixture of Swiss accent, British English (learned in school) and American English (I learned a lot of it through media too, so in the end it influenced my language as well).
I read many books in English as well (not sure, what I read more though, I just read what interests me, without caring about the language of the book).
Tarz34 I read mostly fantasy, sometime a thriller or some scifi books.
I grew up on Harry Potter, moved over to Lord of the Rings and never left the fantasy genre afterwards
You?
I spent three years in the US and love reading English books. At the moment, I probably read about 50% in English and 50% in German. Looking forward to finding some good English book tipps on here!
Tarz34 Heya, not a native English speaker either, but I feel positively confident with my linguistic abilities I read in English, German and French depending on my mood and what I have in stock, mostly fiction, a bit of non-fiction too.
I think the next English book I’m going to read is Isabel Allende’s House of the Spirits, which has been sleeping in my shelf for the past 5 years.
I’m not a native english speaker too, but I read all my books in english, even cooking books. My favourite subjects are crimes, adventures, court cases and horror. I love to watch films and documetaries in english just to keep up with the language.
Raikaslover cool!
What is everyone reading at the moment? Raikaslover Eysturoy_19 Nora4 valeriesbooks @Charlynne Geisti
Tarz34 I’m currently reading The Dark Tower (Book 3) - though because I bought the books waaaay back when I was in my early teens, they are all in German
Next on the list is the latest book by Anne Bishop - the Queen’s Weapon. It’s book 11 in the Black Jewels series which I’ve been in love with for over a decade. So I’m really looking forward to dig into that story

Quite a lot of book. I always read multiple books at once (a great strategy for me to read even more books faster because I can focus on what I want to read at the moment and not just go through one book at once).
I just list my books here:
“Lovely Faces” by Anna Konelli
“Muse Interrupted” by Nicole Hall (a short story for in between, so it will be finished in the next 15 minutes or so)
“Nerve” by Jeanne Ryan (almost finished that one as well)
“Dragon Princess” by Teresa Sporrer
“Novembers Tränen” by Mina Teichert
“Evermore - Der Stern der Nacht” by Alyson Noel (the current audiobook I’m listening to right now)
“Meteoritenblick” by Shanti M.C. Lunau
“Libellenmagie” by B.E. Pfeiffer (the book I use for the breaks I have at work)
“Verstossene Träume” by Anja Buchmann
“New Worlds” by Anne Oldach
“7 - Das erste Buch des Spiels” by Rose Snow
Tarz34 currently reading a fantastic non fiction book from Scott Galloway about the Four (Google, Apple, Facebook and Amazon). I can definitely recommend it, but will do a review when read through.
Also funny because I usually struggle with my reading pace when reading non fiction and this one is so good I’m nearly 200 pages in in 2 days
