Jonathan Safran Foer has done it again: besides presenting relevant statistics and information on climate change from well researched sources he also asks philosophical questions about what it means to be human on the edge of disaster. In a poetic way he draws examples from his own jewish family-history to explor why most people know about climate change but do not believe in it in such a way that their behaviour is substantially altered. It is fair to say that this book wrecked me, but it simultaneously gave me more motivation and strength to continue talking about climate change, the impact the meat and dairy industry have on it and that the action of every individual can still be a game changer.
