I needed a pick-me-up to get me out of my reading slump and this was the perfect choice! It was lovely, funny, with the right amount of emotional turmoil and a great pace to keep you going, and even though you know how it is going to end (this is part of why you choose a comfort read anyway, right?) it wasn’t saccharine or simplistic. A 5* read for me as it hit all the points I hoped it would and made for a wonderful Sunday read.
