Book no. 2 in this series was just as captivating as the first, if not even more. As Carls proceeds throughout the Dungeon’s Floors, we get glimpses of the characters backstories, but just a little bit so you can’t help but continue reading. There is so much character develpoment, especially with Donut!
The fact that quests were added makes it more engaging, because even if those are just NPCs, it shows Carls good heart and intentions. Even though he more or less stumbles into them.
Overall, it’s an intense, fun and occasionally serious series with interesting characters that I can wholeheartedly recommend.
The last time I was that afraid that someone I like might die was in A Song of Ice and Fire.
