The 50th Hunger Games, the second quarter quell, along Haymitch Abernathy we enter the games…
I‘ve already read the book twice now and I am still not sure if I can write a cohesive sounding review about it. But I’ve got to say something. So here we go:
To know the outcome of these games and what becomes of a good portion of the characters did not take away from experiencing this book. How the story weaves its threads into the already existing tapestry, enriches and strengthens the whole picture… mh mh mmmh.
To accompany and learn more about a character we have known for 3 books already and to read about his story, his love, his trauma is a bittersweet treat. I was in tears in the end.
I still have questions. I still think about the story and the characters. I still could read more about Panem.
And that is what makes a good story.
That‘s all I got to say.
