this felt like coming home ๐Ÿฅน

In the latest book of Tahereh Mafi, we follow James Anderson on a mission to infiltrate in the old Reestablishment, while serial killer Rosabelle Wolff is on her mission trying to save her sister.

I have to admitโ€”I DEVOURED this book! Itโ€™s fast-paced, addictive and I absolutely loved being inside Jamesโ€™s head. His perspective was refreshing and sharp. Rosabelle? A total badass. Sheโ€™s morally grey in the best way and her action scenes were ๐Ÿ’‹. Also, seeing all the original characters grown up filled me with so much nostalgiaโ€”it honestly felt like coming home. And Warner with his WIFE? Everything. T_T

The ending set up the sequel perfectly, leaving just enough mystery to keep me hooked.

That said, not that much actually happened in this book. Donโ€™t get me wrongโ€”it wasnโ€™t boring โ€”but it was giving a lot of โœจnothingโœจ. James and Rosabelle spent half the book justโ€ฆ watching each other? I just wish there had been more action, rather than being bombarded with a thousand questions that now I have to wait to be answered in the next book

PS: LOVED THE GORGEOUS BOOK COVER AND PAGES ๐ŸŽ€
