A book that meets the spirit of the times with its content.
The story of two young people trying to find themselves and each other while the seeds of love are sown at the wrong time. What makes things even more difficult is that, as young people of color, both of them also have paralyzing fear lurking in their everyday lives.
The story is read in poetry slam style, which I personally found very laborious, and I often didn’t know for half a chapter what scenery we were currently in.
The topic itself really appealed to me and I expected a lot more from it.
