This poignant story will stay with you for a very long time. The author doesn’t sugarcoat anything and tells how her job is. Some information may not be for everyone as they are too yucky, but that’s what she encounters daily.
What I especially liked about this book is that Emily Craig also incorporates her experiences or what she felt, therefore it is also very emotional and heartbreaking. It’s more than just dry scientifically researched facts, they are also present but in a manageable way.
Her achievements during her career are remarkable, her involvement in the Waco murders and her help after 9/11 are only two of the various Crime Scenes she has worked at.
Forensic anthropology has improved immensely over the years, partly because of Emily Craig.
Everyone fan of the series Bones will enjoy reading this book, but others who don’t mind the yucky factor will find it worth it too.
