I really wanted to like this book. It looks pretty, there are 5-star- reviews left and right and so I decided I might give it a chance.
But after realizing I could not even remember the name of the place it all happens, I also realized that I could not care less about this. It is badly written, things simply do not make sense, like why did they come up with frickin saddles only because of Violet? Probably because Violet is so small, did you know? So tiny. Do not worry, you will be reminded of it. All. The. Time. Sometimes it is ok to kill each other, sometimes it is not. WHY do they send the kids of the traitors to a school with dragons? Does it not just make them more dangerous? And dont get me started on Dain, for me he was the most annoying character of this whole book. The only cool thing about this were the dragons, really.
This is not a good fantasy book, there are far better ones to read. I personally cannot understand the hype of it at all, even the romance part was meh.
Cannot recommend.
