Let’s be honest. I don’t like the cover and it’s the less “bad” in terms of covers.
This novel is fun while it still addresses a lot of deep issues. Greta transcribes therapy sessions of sex therapist Om in a small town up New York. Everyone in Hudson sleeps with everyone and everyone goes to therapy to sort out their issues. Well, except for Greta. While she is completely infatuated by one of Om’s clients - Big Swiss - she recognises her voice at the dog park. Ensues an affair, where Greta introduces herself as Rebekah. In Greta’s mind, Big Swiss is perfect and the affair allows her to get a glimpse of this perfection. But obviously, not everything is as it appears. And Greta will face her inner demons and make a step towards her own accountability.
I liked the very strong female characters and the quirkiness of the whole story. While male charaters are rather bland, it remains a funny and entertaining story until the end.
