My first CoHo book and Oof… what…a book it was. Definitely not what I expected, even with the dramatic title. Perhaps I should start reading the synopsis instead of going in blind because damn, if this book did not play with my emotions. Although I believe the strength of it was so much more intense because it was unexpected, which honestly would be the exact case in real life.

It Ends with Us was a wild emotional ride but an insanely powerful story that gripped me from second one (I listened to the audiobook). The characters are all just so human! There’s no villain, there’s no bad guy plotting the demise of our main characters. No, just humans who try to keep swimming through life and battling their past demons. Each and every character has a complex background and even more complex emotions. Every action any character does fits without question.

I don’t want to reveal too much because the strength lies in the unexpected, I believe. This book will speak for itself.
