Well, i can’t really say what hasn’t been said about earthsea already. Easily one of the greatest fantasy series ever created and hugely influential. This is the best edition i’ve stumbled upon too. Contains all the books, the firelight short story that is surprisingly hard to find and various essays by le guin herself. My favorites of the bunch are the afromentioned “firelight”, which is a reflection of the main character ged on his life (something else happens too which i wont spoiler) and the other wind which to me felt like a perfect conclusion in terms of themes and story of the rest of the series. What i especially like about earthsea is that it allows its characters to age and has the maturity of the story growing besides them. Wish that was more common in series in general. Overall, quite expensive but worth it.
