This updated version offers various crimes to satisfy every craving, so much to feel uneasy.
There are many cannibals out there, from the past to the present, but it is not entirely clear why those monsters develop such atrocities. The book doesn’t deliver an answer to that, a matter too complex to find a satisfying reason. As every murderer acts out for different reasons. But nevertheless, the scientific background and what drives a killer are stunning to read, although very disturbing too.
The author doesn’t sugarcoat anything, she explains in detail, many times I had to pause for a moment because of the shocking modus operandi of the killers. The book brings to the surface that Cannibalism is in its various forms more present than we think, in fiction and reality.
I had this book as an audio file, but because I found it so well-written, despite the macabre topic, I will acquire this title as a book. For my true crime collection.
