That is just a way of dealing with something horrible. And everyone chooses what is best to do so for their benefit or to keep their loved ones safe no matter how terrifying the consequences may be.

There are secrets over secrets hidden on that island. Dahlia Lighthouse is dedicated to finding the truth about her twin brother’s death.

Everything she discovers is somehow connected to her family and the murder house mansion her home.

Every page turn reveals a new secret, at least that is the impression I had. Sometimes I thought after so many lies and confessions, what is more, to come? It indeed can, and the author believably conveys the story. The setting, that murder house with the true-crime-loving family fit together nicely.

That the siblings act so awkward with each other is rather odd, but I changed my mind later as all the hidden skeletons in the cupboards come to light.

I was surprised about the end, it ended completely differently than I would have thought. I don’t mean this negatively, in my opinion, this story could have ended in more than one way.

This is a thought-provoking book. What would we do in Dahlia’s place, what decision would we make if we were in her place? I hope to read more from this author in the future.
