*mild spoiler*
It was so nice to get back together with Pip and her friends. Though, it took me a while to rearrange my brain to the time before her first ‘case’.
The dynamics between them haven’t changed. That was very cool to read, and tells me that the author really knows her characters.
To have a murder mystery game as the trigger for Pip’s deepened fascination with true crime and crime in general fits the story so well and I really enjoyed getting into the game too - thiugh I probably would have failed spectacularly with my guesses 😆
To go through the game, with Pip leading, us was very interesting and I’m so, so glad that the book’s written in 3rd person singular, as it makes the end with her guess more satisfying.
If you’ve enjoyed ‘A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder’ and the rest of the series you’ll like this little prequel.
Only sore point: we don’t get to interact with Ravi 😉
