I read about this book some time ago, and I got interested. Unfortunately, it wasn’t available at that moment, so I was glad to have found it recently in the library.
Normally I try to read every book to the end, but this time I must confess it didn’t happen as I intended.
Maybe it was too mythological for me or the story in itself was too long-winded to keep me interested. The native phrases inserted and therefore leafing to the back for explanation interrupts the flow and hinders understanding the story.
Apart from learning some Maori language and ancient history definitely not my cup of tea.
