Jane Eyre is an orphan who knows little about her family, and is growing u with her aunt and cousins. They ae not pleased to have to gie her a home and she is treated with less consideration than the servants. When she finally expresses her misery, she is sent away to a school for orphans. Life is hard there, but Jane learns all she can and makes the most of the experience. It’s only when she obtains a position as governess in the house of Mr.Rochester, though, that she finds any real promise of happiness. But the mysteries and dangers hidden in the house threaten to destroy even that promise of happiness for ever.
A classic by Charlotte Bronte, simply written and with a common thread. Suitable as a school book as well as a textbook and to improve one’s own English skills.
