My highlight prediction proved to be true. This was a delight to read! Finally a great fantasy book again.
It’s so cool to see how the author’s writing has progressed. I was literally (not literally, but you know what I mean 
) sucked into the story and I loved every second of it.
Writing a good heist-story will always leave me in awe, since I would struggle sooo badly with the plot (all the callculations, deception and revelations).
And I think she did an amazing job at guiding us through it.
It felt so effortless because all the characters were just that well developed, and their actions and the dynamics between them was an absolute treat!
Even at the end of book 1 I couldn’t tell you which of the six characters was my favourite, because they’re all written with such depth and authenticity.
I LOVE Kaz’ cunning and his dry humour!
I LOVE Jesper’s wit and his loyalty!
I LOVE Inej’s efficiency and her thoughtfulness!
I LOVE Nina’s strength and her heart!
I LOVE Matthias’ moral compass and his selflessness!
I LOVE Wylan’s thirst for knowledge and his courage!
Ultimately, the plot alone was captivating enough but what made it the highlight it now is in my eyes are these wonderful characters and the ending which struck like lightning!
