very much wasn’t a fan of this, too long and builds too much on references and has passages that read like the author is trying to cram as many references to the 80s in as little space as possible (eg “When it came to my research, I never took any shortcuts…”). granted, i am not an 80s kid so maybe i just can’t connect and i read the authors nerd porn auteur poem before this so i might have been biased in advance.
