A revised hardcover edition of the #1 New York Times bestseller the sun and her flowers by Rupi Kaur, author the #1 New York Times bestseller milk and honey.
These poems really are massive food for thought. They’re not traditional English poetry (which would be my preferred style), but I endjoyed quite a few of them anyway. It makes you think about how you perceive and treat yourselfe, the people in your life and the world on a whole. I love diving deep into those thoughts - rattling with them until I’ve found what my stance on it is. There were still two things that made it not reach 5 stars: 1) With some of the poems I felt a bit uncomfortable because they gave so much insight into the life, thoughts and struggles of a stranger (the author). I see that it can help people to realise that they’re not alone in their pain but sometimes it was just too much for me. 2) In my opinion, it’s not very commendable to hav a poem with 5 or so words on one page and the next poem on the next page. As someone who likes creative ans aesthetically pleasing things, I totally get it. But if you print it to sell it it just leaves a bitter aftertaste. If you are into modern and simplistic (NOT simple) poetry you’ll most likely enjoy this book.
