Ich gebe es zu; ich habe das Buch “House of Hollow” von Krystal Sutherland nur gekauft wegen dem unglaublich schönen Cover. Es ist in echt noch schöner, als auf dem Bildschirm. Gekauft habe ich es mir als Taschenbuch, auf Englisch. Erwartungen hatte ich nicht wirklich gehabt, einfach ein hübsches Fantasybuch. Ich wurde überrascht. Komplett überrascht. Es ist gruselig, und obwohl “gruselig” eigentlich nicht meine bevorzugte Kategorie zum Lesen ist, konnte ich es nicht aus der Hand legen. Es war faszinierend. Mesmerizing. Skurril. Und es hat mir total gut gefallen. Ich bin richtig in den Bann gezogen worden von diesem Dunkeln Märchen. Die Charaktere sind unglaublich lebendig und irgendwie greifbar. Manche haben Witz und Charme, andere sind liebevoll, ängstlich. Doch mich hat jeder einzelne Charakter in den Bann gezogen. Fünf Punkte für dieses faszinierende Werk, das sich wirklich gelohnt hat.
