I just recently read Book Lovers by Emily Henry. I saw it in a book store and just bought it without knowing anything about the book nor the author. I really enjoyed it and so I was rather surprised to see that this book club is now reading her new novel together. I was so lucky to win a copy of the book so here I am. Reading books in English is also quite new for me. I always watch movies in English if it’s the original language so at some point I thought, why not also read in the original language? I’m looking forward to our time together and the book. I’ve never won anything so I’m super excited about being one of the 20 🙂

I’ve just read Book Lovers as well and I really liked it too. Then I found out that I have read another book of Emily Henry “Happy Place”, which I didn’t like at all. It wasn’t that bad but I couldn’t connect with the characters, so now I’m very excited to see if Funny Story is more like Book Lovers (which I hope, because it was so good) or more like Happy Place.

Sadly I didn’t really warm up with the characters and I’ve felt like the story was to short for me to really get into it. But everyone raved about Emilys books and so I’m really excited for the funny story an hope it’s more my cup of tea 😊
