Eeeaa Hello Adam I’m curious what your writing routine looks like, also because you have been writing a new book. Thank you!
Well, it depends a lot. When I’m in a good writing period, I find that the best time to write is first thing in the morning. Around 8am. If I can write for an hour or so then, I’m generally thinking fairly clearly. And then later in the day, ideas occur to me, and I send myself emails. The next day, I read through the emails, make some adjustments and write a bit more. Other periods that have been productive, I have made myself write, say, 1000 words per day. It’s quite important to either give yourself a set number of words to write, or a set number of hours to work. If you just wait for inspiration, the inspiration may never come! It’s useful for me to think of it as work. Even if I only manage 10 minutes a day, it usually progresses my thinking a little bit, and just enough to keep going.
