Rosie Graham’s Leben hat sich abrupt verändert. Sie hat gerade ihren Job gekündet, um ihrem Traum, Schriftstellerin zu werden, nachzugehen. Dann gibt es Schäden in ihrer Wohnung, so dass sie erstmal ausziehen muss. Sie sucht Unterschlupf in der Wohnung ihrer besten Freundin Lina, doch diese wird bereits von Lina’s Cousin Lucas bewohnt, welcher Rosies Aufmerksamkeit sofort auf sich zieht. Aus der Wohnung wird eine Zwecks-WG und die beiden starten ein Date-Experiment, um Rosies Schreib-Kreativität zu fördern. Doch plötzlich wird den beiden bewusst, dass das ganze vielleicht mehr ist, als nur ein Experiment. Fazit: Süsse, kurzweilige Geschichte - zum entfliehen in eine Welt, in welcher Romantik, Liebe und Humor vorherrschen.

Ich hab mich auf eine RomCom eingestellt und genau das bekommen. Die Geschichte liest sich wunderbar und ich bin nur so durch die Seiten geflogen. Ich wusste nicht, dass es einen Band 1 gibt, und den muss man auch nicht gelesen haben um dieses Band hier zu verstehen. Die Protas sind wirklich angenehm, man hat Rosie auf der einen Seite, eine Autorin auf ihrem Weg zum zweiten Buch, und Lucas, ein spanischer Ex Surfer. Immer wieder wird spanisch gesprochen, was mir sehr gefallen hat. Die Storyline ist gut durchdacht, und auch wenn vorhersehbar, sehr schön geschrieben und es hat echt Spass gemacht, es zu lesen. Einzig hätte ich mir mehr NYC gewünscht, diese Geschichte hätte überall statt finden können. Falls es in Band 1 über Lina geht muss ich hier ein grosses Kompliment machen, denn die kommt echt oft vor hier. Super miteingebunden.

The second book I read from Elena Armas, and it totally got me aswell. Eventhough the book is not a part two of the first book from Elena Armas “Spanish love deception” I would still recommend to read it in that order. Both books are about the same two best friends, living in New York city and falling in love with their dream men. Since this book is chronologically after the book “Spanish love deception”, certain themes such as their friendship, the relationship and some characters are assumed. This story was a perfect mixture between fun, romance and spicy scenes - while I would definitely say, that the focus was more on the romance part. The characters are extremly lovable and you don’t get annoyed by the back and forth storyline. Since there are also some sideshows and great monologues, the story won’t get boring and really catches you right away. What I also do liked, was the fact, that the chapters alternated between the narrative form of Rosie and Lucas. Thanks to this, you are able to understand and feel with both of them and completely understand their point of view. Plus do I found it quite refreshing to read some spicy scenes from the perspective of a man, which often isn’t the case in such rom-coms. I would definitely recommend this book :-)!
