I really enjoyed The Road of Bones. It was a little hard to get into at first since not much seemed to happen in the beginning, but once the story picked up, I was fully invested.
I liked Silla, even though she often felt naive and clumsy and sometimes irritated me. But I guess that’s what made her feel human and different from many other FMCs. She isn’t perfect and that made her more real. I honestly didn’t like Jonas from the start something about him just felt off to me. Rey, on the other hand, is a far more compelling and intriguing character. I’m excited to learn more about him and uncover his secrets in the next book.
I loved the Bloodaxe Crew (Hekla❤️) and found the world really interesting. At times, I wished the magic and some of the terminology had been explained a bit better but very grateful for the glossary.
Overall, a very good read and I’m definitely continuing the series.
