A truly wonderful story, especially if you like Christmas and Halloween. I really liked Coal; he tries to do the right thing, even if things don’t usually end well. I also really liked his brother Kris and his best friend Iris. It took me a little longer to warm up to Hex, but since I love Halloween, it would be strange if I didn’t like him. Aside from the long chapters, I really enjoyed the book and highly recommend it for the Christmas season.
