In my opinion, Ann Rule is the go-to author for True Crime books. Everyone new to this genre should start with her. I have come across many of her books, and what I appreciate the most are her deeply researched insights.
In Green River, Running Red, she especially took great care to put the spotlight on the victims and their families, an aspect that is usually overlooked. It’s a long journey of research, but in the end, she managed to write a gripping story about a horrific monster that had been on the loose for too long.
