In every book Kristin Hannah writes, you can be sure that she creates an emotionally moving plot. That’s what I have experienced so far with her books; also worth mentioning are the characters, which always fill the story with a load of feeling and substance. She mesmerises the reader with a rollercoaster of tragedy, loss and betrayal, with a hint of reality never lost. Another positive aspect is the not-so-usual happy endings, which come in different ways, surprising but fit the story.
In Another Life, the bond between the DeSaria family is strong and felt throughout the book; what they can’t solve, they have to endure as good as possible. Better times will come sooner or later, also for Angie DeSaria, even if it may not be how she had imagined.
A deeply moving story, with an end I didn’t expect.
