Over 400 years separate them, and one book binds them together.
Glasgow 2024: Erin was found in Orkney with burns no one can explain, and only one memory no one can understand not even her mother Clem.
Orkney 1594: Alison Balfour is accused of witchcraft and awaiting trial.
Two women in peril and one special book that holds all the mystery. Will it release its secret?
I love books based on history, this one got me hooked from the beginning. Well-researched and authentic, the true events are perfectly woven into the plot. That the story is based on facts got me interested even more, and that witchy topic is all the more reason to read it. Reading about witchcraft 400 years ago was both interesting and terrible. How they were treated is beyond words. It got me in its spell.
