    Revenge Served Lukewarm

Let’s keep this review short. I honestly don’t know how to feel about this one. The premise hooked me in the beginning right away: revenge against those who’ve wronged you and your loved ones? Say less. I was fully onboard at the start.

But somewhere around the middle, the story started to feel off. The more I read, the more I found myself getting frustrated with Grace (the main character). For someone who prides herself on being sharp and calculated, her choices (especially once the prison plotline rolled around) didn’t quite add up for me. And the ending? It totally threw me off, but not in the clever and twisty way I think the author intended. Instead, it just left me annoyed.

Still, I’d give it an okay rating. It’s the kind of book you have to read for yourself and see where you land. Maybe on another day, I might’ve felt differently about this story.
