I started reading Lockwood and Co because the Netflix series left me hanging (still holding a grudge btw. I’m looking at you Netflix!) I NEED TO KNOW WHAT’S BEHIND THE DOOR!! So, with that I started at the beginning of the series.
Already the first book is absolutely amazing the magic system and world is beautifully and clearly established. It makes sense and is incredibly detailed without being overbearing. (For everybody who’s stupid like me, in my version of the book towards the end is a glossary for all the fantasy terms explained. But you don’t really need it.)
I love the relationship between Lucy and George as well as Lucy and Lockwood. Especially Lockwood cockiness I find very amusing. It’s just the right amount.
The only reason I don’t give this book 5 stars is because I’m missing the romance a bit. Just like a liiittle bit more would have made it perfect in my opinion.
