This was beautiful and I loved it. Madeline Miller manages to give this well-known myth something new and unique whilst leaving no doubt she absolutely knows what she’s talking about. She enhances the original and gives these famous characters new depth and feeling.
No matter how much or how little you know about Achilles’ story, Miller will guide you through it. Along the way she’ll stun you with gorgeous writing, she’ll break your heart with her main characters and she’ll probably make you cry one way or another. This book is something very special, something precious you want to keep safe and hold close to your shattered heart.
