Velocity Weapon throws us into a universe with faster than light travel, a galaxy spanning civilization and a political construct to keep all of this together.
The book throws us in between a intriguing war story, interlaced with political squabbles in which you are never quite sure what will happen next. It keeps you always on the edge, rarely being predictable. The story follows a pair of siblings, trying to navigate the hostile environment, with politics often being more deadly than space and war combined.
There are some smaller things which bug me, such as some technologies not being explained to the extent for me to understand them, or some political motives not being entirely clear. But I hope all of this will be explained in the second and third book.
Can’t wait to read the next one.
