Well, this was a weird book. And I loved it.
Mona Awad is an amazing writer and a very astute observer of human interactions and group dynamics. A unique idea, extraordinary characters and more than one unexpected turn of events. This book doesn’t remind me of anything else I’ve ever read, which makes it so remarkable in my opinion. It’s very self-aware, viciously funny and a delicious satire on art schools. And it includes something I’ll always enjoy: having a group of girls as the villains. Mean women are the best. Add a little bit of crazy and unpredictable and you have yourself the perfect set-up for a promising story. „Bunny“ being the perfect example for this. So much fun, very messed up, unhinged and simply genius.
