When searching for books with cozy fall vibes I found The Pumpkin Spice Cafe and it was exactly what I wanted.
I am a bit obsessed with Gilmore Girls and Stars Hollow, so when I had the possibility to follow Jeanie into her new life as a Cafe owner in a small town called Dream Harbor (I know its kitschy but thats what I wanted here) I was all in. Jeanie tries to adjust as good as possible to her new situation and gets to know Logan, a grumpy farmer. She cannot deny that she is drawn to him and Logan feels there might be something, too. But everyone has their package and that might get in the way of love…
I liked this story so much! It has Fall Festivals and pumpkins and quirky but lovable townspeople and even a mystery to solve. Jeanie and Logan both have believable reasons for being the way they are. I absolutely adored Jeanie, a sunshiney, competent woman who tries her best with everything.
I am giving 4 starts because the story was a bit predictable and there was a bit too much back and forth between Logan and Jeanie for my taste. But overall still a cute, comfy-cozy, warming love story in a wonderful setting.
