Finally got around to read the Hobbit and I enjoyed it so much.
The world which J.R.R. Tolkien, „father“ of high fantasy, created is simple but magical. With his words he paints Middle-earth as a wonderful and special place. The story is witty and even tough there were 350 pages, it felt like I had to leave the world to soon. I saw the movie prior to reading the book and was astonished how similar (1st movie) and different (2 & 3) they are from each other. Nevertheless it was easily written, easy to follow the story and see what Bilbo Baggins’s adventure has in store for him.
