I have heard a lot about Agatha Christie and her series with Hercule Poirot over the years. I always had them on my list but so far there were always other books in the way. After finding this novel on an open bookshelf, I decided that now the time has come to begin my own Hercule Poirot journey.
Now after reading those short stories in a rush, I couldn’t stop, I’m convinced that every crime lover should read them. I usually don’t prefer short stories, they always seem to end when the plot is the most exciting, but here it is just fun to read. The stories are easy to follow with clues hidden along the way, I wasn’t able to find them before Hercule Poirot revealed the conclusion. Those endings and explanations are fascinating and full of suspense, it’s what kept me going.
I think this collection of short stories is a good way to start with this series. I will definitely be on the lookout for more from Agatha Christie.
