This guidebook offers eight rules to help us find love, happiness and fulfillment in our lives. In doing so, Jay Shetty combines timeless wisdom with modern insights to provide practical advice for interpersonal relationships.
It is divided into eight chapters, each dealing with one rule for love and it explores topics such as the importance of self-love and self-acceptance, the power of compassion and forgiveness, the art of letting go, and the importance of connection in relationships. It also provides many exercises and reflection questions to help readers apply the concepts in their own lives and create positive change.
Most interesting for me was author’s definition of karma: “Refusing the karmic lesson: in other words - if you don’t learn anything and repeat the same mistake”… like over and over again.
The writing style is very fluid, understandable and haunting, especially in the beginning. Nothing in this book is particularly groundbreaking, but it can be a good advisor that can be effective for the right reader at the right time.
