A troupe of investigators scour through the place, a site unknown to most of the public. It only came to their attention by coincidence, with clues that may bring closure to a year-long case and peace to the victim’s families.
This case indeed is one of the costliest cases in California history and this book reveals all the details of why it took the prosecution 14 years to close this case. All the gory details of torturing at least 16 victims, nothing for the faint-hearted. Usually, the trial parts are rather long-winded, and you would expect just that with that magnitude of files, but here the author found a different approach.
This book came to my attention by Nic Edwards, a new author and co-host of the podcast True Crime Garage.
A good to-read book, a must-read for every true crime aficionado.
