Is Fourth Wing the most original book out there? Definitely not.
Is it completely perfect? Also not.
Did I love every second of it? Hell. Yes.
I devoured Fourth Wing. From page one, I was hooked. I couldn’t put it down and I definitely noticed the lack of sleep at work today…
Violet isn’t flawless but still felt perhaps a tad too perfect. But it was such a refreshing twist that her mind is brilliant (especially as seeing she had a future planned in the Scribe Quadrant), and she isn’t nor does she become the most psychical bad ass either. She wins/overcomes challenges by using her brain to make up for the psychical limitations. There’s also the saddle to accommodate her psychical shortcomings instead of her ‘magically’ becoming stronger. I do think a bit more exploration into her chronicle illness would have created a more fleshed out history. I absolutely loved the dragons but I can’t really say more without spoiling anything.
