I’m very disappointed by this book, which is praised as a great revelation about the animal senses. A very interesting topic, which is why I have bought it. But in fact, the parts about the animals are lost in all the scientific information. The larger part is scientific, with references to other scientists and what they encountered during their studies.
And the number of footnotes is way too much, a better way would have been to include them in the text or omit them completely. This doesn’t encourage the reader to keep going, with time I just left them out.
I think readers with a scientific background or interest in that, would profit from this book. Too bad about the interesting topic.
