We’ve been living inside the section of the Venn diagram where a culture that protects men like him overlaps with one obsessed with prestige and status and reputation.
This book was not quite what I expected it to be. I thought it would focus on the rape that allegedly happened on campus of the prep school; instead this was only one aspect of the novel.
Every chapter was told from the perspective of one of the students - which sometimes was confusing, because some of the girls were never mentioned before - and while the chapters dealt more or less with sexuality, a more in depth discussion of the rape would be necessary.
I think, if the book would concentrate on the girls who are responsible for the school paper (because they were the only ones caring about the sexual assault that happened in their school!), I would have enjoyed this novel more.
