The second book I read from Elena Armas, and it totally got me aswell.
Eventhough the book is not a part two of the first book from Elena Armas “Spanish love deception” I would still recommend to read it in that order. Both books are about the same two best friends, living in New York city and falling in love with their dream men. Since this book is chronologically after the book “Spanish love deception”, certain themes such as their friendship, the relationship and some characters are assumed.
This story was a perfect mixture between fun, romance and spicy scenes - while I would definitely say, that the focus was more on the romance part.
The characters are extremly lovable and you don’t get annoyed by the back and forth storyline. Since there are also some sideshows and great monologues, the story won’t get boring and really catches you right away. What I also do liked, was the fact, that the chapters alternated between the narrative form of Rosie and Lucas. Thanks to this, you are able to understand and feel with both of them and completely understand their point of view. Plus do I found it quite refreshing to read some spicy scenes from the perspective of a man, which often isn’t the case in such rom-coms.
I would definitely recommend this book :-)!
