This novel seems to be more on the gloomier side with a case rather unsolvable, and the strained relationship between the Army and the FBI doesn’t make it any easier. That’s where Jack Reacher comes into play, tough and playing by his own rules.
In my opinion, Reacher comes across the most gruesome case so far, so much that it lets run down a chill down the spine.
I was amazed at how the story begins, like a thundering clash, I was wondering where the author gets the ideas from. There is no such slow introduction, right from the start, you are mesmerized by this cat and mouse game, which doesn’t stop to the last word.
You grow fond of this witty main character easily, his expertise is stunning. He always gets his way, even if he comes across obstacles.
Jack Reacher always seems to be on the run and doesn’t want to settle down, it remains to be seen if he will find a place to call his home.
A fun read from the first sentence to the last.
