Let me tell you, the chemistry between those two characters… hot and heavy. Tessa Bailey‘s new series really hits the mark for me. Funny, steamy and a good plot, which is everything I need.
Piper, our maincharacter, is an It-Girl from Los Angeles, and she feels like she‘s getting too old abd has to make some big headlines so nobody forgets her. And tbh, I really liked this part of the plot because that‘s what celebs do. After that, her stepfather cuts her off and she and her sister now own an old bar in the middle of nowhere. There, she tries to rebuild it and remodel it with the help of Brendan, a captain in the fishervillage she landed in. He thinks she‘s just a city-girl, but still… he can‘t seem to keep away and not help
In the end, this book really slapped, most of all because I love the sunshine/grump trope.
