First of all: the book cover is soooo beautiful! 😍
At the beginning I really had a little difficulty to settle into the story…
But from a certain part on, when Belle starts her lessons for her endarkement trial with Arty, it really starts getting more exciting and I constantly wanted to know what happens next so I kept on reading.
I liked the love story between Belle and Rune woven into the story, however sometimes, for my taste, it could’ve been a little more intense.
The final scene inside Hecate house was a little confusing and swirly and with a kind an abrupt end.
This book was a perfect read for me in October (the story takes place in the month of October) and with its magic, witches and warlocks, dark forces etc it reminded me of a mixture between Harry Potter, Sabrina the teenage which and Charmed. I liked the magic setting and the “granny scene” had me in tears. The message of the book is “believe in yourself, your far better than you think you are”.
