The famous Jake Brigance is back, with another blood-curdling case. The courtroom is like a stage, and the lawyers are the actors. Jake Brigance proves he can handle difficult cases, even if they don’t work out as expected.
All of John Grisham’s books are set in or around a courtroom, with some involvement of a jury. A Time of Mercy places the reader in the courtroom itself. This might sound tedious, but the author has a way of writing that makes even a lengthy court session interesting. This is an aspect I like about him.
