I thoroughly enjoyed how this book described winter and snow. Something I yearn for us to have where I live as well. Not only the weather but also the food, the smells etc. The perfect book to curl up on the sofa and sink into a sort of whodunit type of mystery.
I loved Roz. She’s different from many other main characters, more grounded, but still hasn’t life quite figured out at 50. (So there’s hope for us 😉)
I think what drew me in the most is Roz and what she went through, how she observed the other passengers as well as the personalities of all those on board but also back at Roz’ home.
As many do, I tried to puzzle together who’s the murderer, had my theories and all of them where wrong. And honestly I’m glad, figuring out who actually was the murderer and how it all went down so differently than what I expected made it so much better. I had feared that the ending would flop, but it really didn’t. The way the final twists resolved and the way the book found its end was just what this book needed.
So, if you’re in for a good old whodunit in a wintery Christmassy setting, and you love twists after twists, this book might be for you. (But do keep in mind, this book deals with abuse.)
