Last and this week was the best time to read this book. The snow and the low temperatures lent themselves perfectly to a cosy read about stories in the winter.
Though I have read a few Agatha Christie books her writing style still manages to capture me. It makes it just so easy to get into the stories and feel immersed in them - which is perfect for the (mostly) crime settings. Even though I have to say that the one story of the many short stories in this book that I enjoyed the most wasn’t a murder investigation but a navigation between people who were butting heads. It was written so authentically that I could picture the whole scene in a real life moment 🙂
If you’ve never read anything by this author I urge you to give it at least one try. I myself am not much of a thriller/horror person if it’s too gruesome, but since Agatha Christie’s stories focus more on the interpersonal an human relation side of things rather than the gory details of the murder itself I enjoy her books very much.
